We are working with a leading organisation who design, develop and manufacture paediatric medical equipment. Established for over 25 years the company are now heavily investing in their future as they continue to expand and are in need of Mechanical Design Engineers to join the team in Cheltenham.
Responsibilities:
- Design and detailing of mechanical parts, assemblies, and complete products
- Novel problem solving and creating market-leading solutions
- Prototype & build of parts/assemblies
- Testing, validation & documentation of your designs, to global industry standards
- Technical drawings
- BOM creation/maintenance
- Project & supplier management
- Working with manufacturing team
- Cross business collaboration & effective communication
Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience in Mechanical Product Development
- Engineering degree, min 2:1, BEng or higher
- Experience working across the whole design process (concept through to manufacturing)
- FEA & mechanical hand calculation skills
- Excellent CAD user, ideally Solidworks
- DFM & DFA experience (sheet metal ideal)
- Proactive, organised, self-starter
- Experience of medical products a plus!
