Senior Digital Engineer
I am working with a global leader formed over 40+ years ago and growing to a team of over 25,000 individuals that specialises in serving customers in a range of industries with highly complex products and demanding regulatory environments. Â

The client has big plans in place and are currently looking for a Senior Digital Engineer/FPGA as they continue to grow their Hardware team across the business for a number of new projects in South East Scotland.Â
Accountabilities
- Design and develop electronic hardware for products across a wide range of industries. Â
- Collaborates with talented hardware, software, mechanical, quality, manufacturing and test engineers throughout all phases of the product development life cycle – from idea and conceptualize; through requirements, design, and development; to manufacturing transition and into the market.Â
- Derive technical performance specifications from high level use cases.Â
Requirements
- Possess a degree (or equivalent) in Electronic Engineering or strongly related subjectÂ
- Able to take ownership of architecting and designing electronic digital circuitry for industrial, healthcare/life sciences, and aerospace/defence market sectorsÂ
- Proficient with HDL languages (i.e., VHDL, SystemVerilog) to model hardware behaviourÂ
- Proficient in synthesis, timing analysis/closure, and place and route using Vivado and/or QuartusÂ
- Proficient in implementing fully self-checking test benches with directed and constrained random test cases.Â
- Proficient in optimizing FPGA pinouts and oversee PCB layouts of FPGA supporting circuitry.Â
- Collaborate with a team of other digital, analog, software, mechanical, and system engineers to review and improve hardware designsÂ
