EqualEngineers Student Summit 2026
This two-day, fully funded residential brings together 30 engineering students and recent graduates from across the UK to explore safety, ethics, AI, and the transition from university into engineering work.
This event builds on landmark work led by UCL and funded by the Lloyd’s Register Foundation (2016–17), alongside the Royal Academy of Engineering report Calibrating Future Curricula.Â
Since then, the engineering landscape has changed dramatically. Graduates today are entering workplaces shaped by:Â
- AI and automationÂ
- Complex systems riskÂ
- Ethical and societal responsibilityÂ
- Increasing awareness of psychological safety and wellbeing
This Summit creates space for students and graduates to share honest experiences, challenge assumptions, and help shape what engineering education needs to become next.
