EXTREME E - Racing for all project

EqualEngineers formed a strategic partnership with Extreme E for their ambitious Racing For All Project, aimed at scouting and nurturing engineering talent from universities and offering them a platform in the competitive world of international E Racing. This initiative was designed to identify and develop the next generation of engineering innovators by providing them with unique opportunities to work alongside seasoned professionals in the fast-paced E Racing industry.

Strategy Overview

We selected eight engineering students, offering them not only exposure but also direct involvement with leading international E Racing teams. Among these, Daanish Chilwan, one of our cohort 3 Pathways Programme mentees from Leicester University, emerged as a standout participant, earning a coveted position with the US-based team, Chip Ganassi. This placement represented a significant step in his professional development and highlights the project’s effectiveness in bridging academic achievements with real-world applications.

Beyond recruitment, our involvement extended to on-site development through a series of targeted workshops at the racing tracks. These sessions were designed to refine the students’ skills in engagement, presentation, and team building. One of the highlights was the “Team T-Shirt” exercise, which challenged the students to collaborate creatively and effectively, thereby enhancing their communication skills and fostering a spirit of teamwork.
